Classroom Expectations

Standards and Expectations of all Cadets:

All Cadets are expected to exercise discipline, be motivated, innovative, seek leadership roles and be responsible for their actions. In order to create an environment where everyone can be successful your cooperation and compliance is a must. It begins with rendering proper customs and courtesies and following established school policies and classroom rules.

All Cadets will stand at the “Position of Attention” when reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and Cadet Creed.

All Cadets will address instructors by their proper titles:
Lieutenant Colonel Johnston or Sir
Chief White or Sir

All Cadets will come to class ready to participate.

All Cadets will raise their hand, wait to be recognized and not blurt out answers.

All Cadets will stand either at Attention or Parade Rest, identify themselves and provide the answer (i.e. Sir/Ma’am/SGM Cadet Doe).

All Cadets are responsible for ensuring no trash is on the floor and all desks are lined up properly before departing the classroom.

All Cadets will show respect to their fellow Cadets, the classroom, and instructors, to include all school faculty and administrators.

Cadets tardy for class will provide a Tardy Slip or execute 20x pushups.

No personal electronic devices, cellphones, IPODs or earbuds are allowed during class and all personal electronic devices will be confiscated if caught using during class.

No sidebar conversations during class instruction.

No sleeping or heads on desk during class, sitting on desks or placing feet in the seat of another desk.

No eating, including chewing gum, in class.

Bring charged-up Chromebooks to class daily.

Finally, compliance is expected by all Cadets and failure to do so can result in corrective training or disciplinary action.  All Cadets are responsible for their own actions and deeds.  We are here for you and only ask for your best effort.
